Olivamine is patent pending selection of antioxidants, vitamins, amino acids and MSM. Darlene McCord, Ph.D, invented the product and has demonstrated its effectiveness topically and as a nutritional supplement. McCord Research, Inc owns the rights to the technology that has licensed the topical use to Medline Industries. The oral supplement line is currently under development and is expected to be released in 2009.
Darlene McCord developed Olivamine as a corneothrophic ingredient capable of repairing damaged and diseased skin. After extensive testing the ingredient was formulated into a series of topical products. The products were developed as over the counter (OTC) drug for use in hospital and long-term care setting.
A complete complement of safety and efficacy testing was done on the products and it was determined that each product was non-irritating, non-sensitizing, and non-allergenic. Where appropriate the products were tested to determine if the products were cytotoxic. All tested products were determined to be non-cytotoxic.
The topical products, that contain Olivamine and are sold under the Remedy brand name owned by Medline Industries, is now the top selling lines into hospitals and long term care facilities.
