Dr. McCord, FAPWCA
Dr. McCord is McCord Research’s Senior Researcher; she brings a unique blend of scientific credentials to the position. Through her leadership, her brands have achieved worldwide recognition in the OTC Drug and Medical Device and nutrition categories. Her field of specialty is corneotherapy, focusing on the transport of small molecules across the stratum corneum for the treatment of skin disorders associated with distressed and wounded skin. She has expanded her research into nutrition. She is widely published on subjects related to immunodermatology and corneotherapy.
Dr. McCord is known for her work as a biochemist in skin and wound care and nutritional supplements. She has been awarded three patents and six medical devices in the field and she has three patents pending. She currently has more than 70 health products being sold around the world.
Dr. McCord's US Olivamine-based human skin and wound care product offering is the Remedy with Olivamine® brand distributed by Medline Industries, which is currently the number one selling medical skin care line in North America. Olivamine can also be found in her animal health and nutritional supplement products sold in the US and internationally and her Pinnaclife skin and wound care line currently distributed in the Philippines.
Dr. McCord received her first patent in 1993 and her second patent was awarded in 1997. Her most current patent was issued in 2014. Dr. McCord continues to pursue her interests in skin repair systems, barrier repair systems, nutrition, antioxidants, cancer, diabetes, and animal health.

Dr. McCord is a graduate of the University of Iowa where he received all three of his degrees including his Ph.D. in college administration. He served as a college administrator for more than 20 years, and through his efforts many important links between college administration and faculty were reached.
His connection with the University of Iowa and its research programs was instrumental in leading him and his wife back to Iowa City. Through these Iowa roots, Dr. McCord has helped establish collaborative research opportunities with the University of Iowa. Multiple researchers are now in place, and the program is on the path to exciting new opportunities.
Through his industry contacts, Dr. McCord developed relationships with 3M, Hollister, Acme United, DeRoyal and Medline Industries. His skills in administration and business development bring a unique blend of academic administration and business acumen. Through his efforts, major contracts and licensing agreements have been established with some of the largest medical companies in the world. Dr. McCord manages Corporate Investments and Academic Affairs.
